• Preaching

  • Our Vision:

At Auburn, we believe that a sermon is more than teaching. Sermons are, in John Piper's words, "expository exultation." Our goal in preaching, then, is to speak the relevant truths revealed in scripture, and through this to bring about true worship in the hearts of those listening.

Preaching as an act is not isolated from other acts of worship, but integrated into them. As a result, our Sunday morning services involve musical worship, scripture readings, open sharing of our members, and communion, all alongside sermons. We hope that all of our members will feel closer to God through our preaching ministry and its part in the worship of our community.

    Speakers:

We have many individuals who preach on Sunday mornings at Auburn. However, three men in particular teach regularly. They are:

    Jonny Ryttersgaard

Our associate pastor, Jonny is the primary preacher at the Gathering @ Trent but also takes on responsibility at Auburn.

    Brent Mackie
